Kimilili Member of Parliament Didmus Barasa has received yet another blow after the Independent and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) refused to hand over the election certificate to his representatives.
Kimilili Returning Officer George Omondi insisted that the MP, who has been in hiding for the past 24 hours, had to present himself at the tallying centre physically.
Barasa is accused of killing his opponent’s aide during a commotion at one of the polling stations in his constituency.The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji has ordered the police to arrest the UDA MP-elect.
