Senate starts hearing five accusations against Mwangaza

The Senate has began hearing the five accusations against Meru Governer Kawira Mwangaza by the county assembly.

Senate Speaker Amason Kingi is currently reading our charges against Govenor Kawira Mwangaza.

Meru Govenor Kawira Mwangaza is being accused of five issues.

The first being nepotism—illegal appointments, unlawful dismissal and usurping of the constitution and statutory functions of county organs

Secondly she is accused of incitement, bullying, vilification and misleading campaigns against other leaders.

The third count is forceful entry into the assembly precincts and mobilisation of unlawful riots against MCAs

She is also accused of violating of PFM Laws and the fith accusation is misconduct relating to nomination of CEC

Under the first charge, the govenor is accused of appointing her husband to county office, roadside appointment of workers and formation of illegal committee on the Meru municipality.

In the second charge she is accused of humiliating assembly minority leader vilification of minority chief whip and other leaders.

She is also accused of vilifying Meru Senator, Agriculture CS Mithika Linturi,  Tigania East MP and the Catholic Church and clergy.
