Mumias East MP Peter Salasya has decried mistreatment of first time MP's in parliament.
The first time legislator said that first timers are not given time to contribute in motions and to air their views during proceedings.
Salasya added that even when the new MPs have opinions on critical issues, they are told to wait.
"Madam speaker there is this issues of monos in this house. We who are first timers are not given time to address even when there is a good motion for us to contribute. We are always told to wait a bit," he said.
He pleaded with deputy speaker Gladys Shollei to intervene and allow first timers a chance to represent their constituents
"Madam speaker it is very unfair for people like us. We want to seek your intervention going forward so that we can also be given time to contribute."
Salasya joked that he was bullied in school and he was not going to let anyone bully him because he is a first timer in the August house.
