In Golbo Ward, located within Moyale Constituency, residents mounted protests against a community land registration exercise that they deemed contentious.
The confrontation resulted in twelve police officers and four demonstrators sustaining injuries, while a total of nineteen vehicles were reported damaged during the unrest.
Following the incident, authorities announced the suspension of the land registration process and indicated that further consultations with local residents would be undertaken before any resumption.
The suspension reflects the government's attempt to address community concerns and restore calm after the volatile episode.
