Popular radio personality King Kalala has officially announced her departure from NRG Radio. In a heartfelt statement shared on her social media platforms on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, Kalala revealed that leaving the station was a tough decision but one driven by the desire to explore new opportunities.
“After much thought, I have decided to part ways with NRG Radio. This decision wasn’t easy, but I believe it’s time for me to explore new directions and focus on exciting new ventures ahead,” she wrote.
Kalala expressed deep gratitude to her fans for their unwavering support throughout her time on air, highlighting their encouragement as an essential part of her journey. She also thanked her colleagues at NRG Radio, appreciating the growth and learning experiences shared with her team.

Her exit comes just a week after her colleague Natalie Githinji also announced her departure from NRG Radio, after five years with the station, to pursue new challenges and opportunities.
