Martial grabs a consolation.

A shot is blocked but he's on hand to head home the rebound from close range.

Haaland now has as many PL hattricks as Ronaldo, Vardy and Lampard. He's played eight games.

15:37
Man City 6-1 Man United

Four changes for City now...

Phil Foden has done his job so he's off. Jack Grealish and Kevin de Bruyne, who have both been excellent, are also off.

Ilkay Gundogan is off too - all to a standing ovation.

Riyad Mahrez, Aymeric Laporte, Julian Alvarez and local boy Cole Palmer are all on.

15:33
GOAL! Man City 6-1 Man United (Foden)

And now a hat-trick for Foden!

Haaland pokes a ball through and he finishes with aplomb.

There a VAR check to see if the ball went out in the build up but it didn't.

15:23
GOAL! Man City 5-1 Man United (Haaland 65)

He's just unstoppable. A third straight hat-trick for the big man.

City work the ball forward on the left and Gomez whips a low ball across goal where Haaland is waiting to produce a brilliant first time finish.

The Poznan breaks out around the Etihad.

15:22

A rather slow start to the half... which isn't really a surprise.

Foden goes hunting for a third but he is denied at the near post from a tight angle.

15:04

HALF-TIME: Man City 4-0 Man United

Complete dominance. A lot of united fans are leaving the building.

14:48
GOAL! Man City 4-0 Man United (Foden 42)

City score a sensational goal on the break as De Bruyne, Haaland and Foden combine to devastating effect. De Bruyne starts the move with a penetrating run before he offloads to Haaland.

The forward clips a perfect cross to the back post for Foden to meet on the slide and he dispatches his effort into the back of the net.

14:46
Man City 3-0 Man United

Changes for both sides due to injury.

Kyle Walker is replaced by Sergio Gomez while Lindelof comes on for Varane.

Another one!

And what a goal it is.

The big striker sweeps the ball home in devastating fashion. What a combo they are.

14:37
GOAL! Manchester City 2-0 Manchester United (Haaland 34)

Never in doubt!

City take a corner from the left and Haaland rises highest to power a header goalwards.

A defender does appear to meet it on the line but it was just over.

His 12th of the season.

He'll play on.

The Red Devils looking so nervous at the back.

14:22
Manchester City 1-0 Manchester United

Chance!

Foden comes close to getting a second as he pounces on a loose ball in the area and fires just over with his left.

14:21

There are spaces for United when they do get the ball but they've been rushing it so far.

Off the post!

So close!

Gundogan steps up, bending it round the wall and off the outside of the post. Great effort.

Grealish has started really brightly.

He dances round a couple of challenges before drawing a foul just outside the box. It's bang center and looks ominous for United...

What a finish. Nothing the keeper could do.

14:05
Manchester City 0-0 Manchester United

How have City not scored?!

Haaland wins a header at the back post, putting it across goal. A defender clears  it straight back out to De Bruyne, whose finish is parried by De Gea into the path of Silva, who also sees his shot cleared off the line.

Doesn't get much closer than that.

Dalot picks up an extremely early yellow card as he takes out Grealish on the wing.

The City man showed good feet and pace there.

Some pre-match words from Ten Hag

"It's a different team [we're facing today compared to Arsenal] although there are similarities. It's now about developing our game.

"Beating Arsenal breeds confidence, but this is a different game. We want to play our game but they will want to dictate the battle.

"They're good at it, they play at high intensity but we want to bring them out of their comfort zone. It will be a battle on the field, and then we'll see."

On Rashford being fit: "He trained well, and we've taken the right steps. We've had a look at it and we feel he is fit."

On Rodri being out: "He has a huge impact on their game, and in many aspects so they'll miss him but they have 11 really good players on the pitch so it's still a top team."

Keane: United looking better

Speaking on Sky Sports, the former united midfielder said: "They had a shocking start but in the last four games the signs have been better.

"They have good quality and to me it looks like there is a bit more spirit and fight in the team.

"The new players have settled and they have to take confidence from that.

"This is their toughest test so far, but I think they will come into it in a good place and I'm really looking forward to it.'

13:22
No DM for City

Some City fans are concerned after seeing that line-up.

The last time they played without a defensive midfielder they were beaten by Chelsea in the Champions League final, losing to a goal on the break.

One thing we know United are good at is the counter-attack.

13:16
Guardiola expecting United to play on the front foot

Speaking to Sky Sports, the City boss said: 'They know it. It is special for both clubs. We try to perform well, hopefully the emotion is there and we try to win."

"I think they have to try to go a little bit forward but it depends on our build up, [if it] will provoke them to defend a little bit deeper.

"If our crossing is bad, I think they will stay high because Erik, his mentality in Holland, he liked to be active in his game plan. We'll try to adapt to what they do.

Head-to-head

Manchester City could win three consecutive league games against United for the first time since a run of four between April 2013 and November 2014.

United are in danger of suffering their 18th Premier League loss against City - it would equal their highest number of defeats against a specific opponent (matching their totals against Liverpool and Chelsea).

This Premier League fixture has been won 21 times by the respective away side - no other match has produced more victories for the away team.
