NAIROBI, Kenya – Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna's political tour of Western Kenya has ignited fresh debate over the future of Kenya's opposition politics, with growing crowds and endorsements from key regional leaders fuelling speculation that a new political movement is taking shape ahead of the 2027 General Election. Sifuna, who has positioned himself as one of the leading voices of the opposition under the Linda Mwananchi movement, was received by enthusiastic supporters across Bungoma and Trans Nzoia counties during a series of rallies attended by leaders allied to his political agenda.
