"Indeed, the second edition of the Forbes Under 30 Africa Summit rekindled my memories of how I ventured into business at the University of Nairobi.

"Despite securing formal employment, I remained focused and determined to succeed in business," the DP stated.

In his earlier revelation, the DP indicated that he owned a mobile disco occasionally hired by his friends at UoN at Ksh1,500 per event.

Gachagua divulged that from the payout, he bought land worth Ksh50,000, with the quarter acre currently retailing for Ksh15 million.

"With the Ksh3,000 from Ichangai Muiruri, I added another Ksh2,000 to place a Ks5000 deposit. It was a 10 per cent deposit for a quarter of an acre plot at Kahawa Sukari in Nairobi that was then selling at Ksh50,000.

"Today, I receive daily offers to sell the same plot for Ksh15 million. We have come from far (Tumetoka mbali! Tena mbali sana)," he stated.

During the 2022 Deputy Presidential debate on July 19, 2022, Gachagua revealed that he was worth Ksh800 million, excluding Ksh200 million that was withheld by the state.

The DP acquired his wealth from agriculture and working with private and public institutions such as the Ministry of Lands, Kenya Power and many more.
