Former Starehe MP Charles Jaguar has addressed the ongoing fundraising efforts for Muguthii star Miracle Baby, also known as Peter Mwangi, following a viral video suggesting continued financial support needs despite an earlier promise by President William Ruto to cover all medical expenses.

President Ruto had pledged on March 5 to cover Miracle Baby's medical costs and arranged for his transfer to Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) for further treatment.

However, US music promoter Bernice Saroni's update indicated that financial support was still required, citing a need for Sh135,000 for Miracle Baby's daily nursing care at home.

"Carol Katrue contacted me last night and said they had no money to buy the urostomy bags. My question was, I thought President Ruto was taking care of him, she told me that was not true," Bernice shared.

In response to these developments, Nairobi News sought clarification from Jaguar, who revealed the surprising news that Miracle Baby had declined admission to KNH.

Jaguar disclosed that Miracle Baby expressed discomfort after only two hours of admission and insisted on returning home to await surgery scheduled for four weeks later.

"Despite being offered a private room with daily specialist checks and free care, Miracle Baby chose to leave after only an hour," Jaguar explained.

Expressing frustration, Jaguar questioned the next steps and the President's response, considering his personal involvement in facilitating help for Miracle Baby.

"How can we move forward when such opportunities are rejected?" Jaguar pondered. "I personally introduced Miracle Baby to the President, who agreed to help. The situation has been made more difficult by the refusal to provide medical supplies."

Miracle Baby has been admitted to a Kiambu hospital for the past two months and recently underwent his third surgery, indicating a challenging medical journey for the artist.

Despite media attempts to contact Carol Katrue for comment, she had not responded at the time of publication.
