NAIROBI — A post-mortem examination has confirmed that KCB Bank Group executive Rosemary Chemutai Koech Kimwatu died by suicide, as her family says she had been experiencing personal and financial difficulties before her death.

Koech, 40, was found dead at her residence in the Ole Nairi area of Ngong on Friday, August 21, 2026.

The post-mortem was conducted at Lee Funeral Home by Chief Government Pathologist Dr Johansen Oduor, with detectives and members of the family present, according to The Star.

Police had earlier processed the scene. No suicide note was recovered, The Star reported.
