Entrepreneur and digital content creator Murugi Munyi has opened up about her experience dealing with her husband's recent departure back to the UK after a short visit to Kenya.
Zach, who relocated to the UK for work, left yesterday evening, which left Murugi feeling melancholic.
In a video shared by Murugi, she appeared sad and gloomy while listening to a somber song. The video was captioned, "POV: your husband leaves for another stint of long distance, and you feel a sense of hopelessness and despair," accompanied by the song "You'll Get Over it" by Nuu, Shawnii, and Xeni. Murugi revealed that she had cried all the way from their house to the airport.
The drive back home was particularly difficult for her, as it truly sank in that she was now on her own again.
Murugi shared further details about how she was coping with Zach's trip back to the UK, which had once again put them in a long-distance relationship, with time zones being one of their biggest challenges.
"He left yesterday, and I'm not completely devastated about it! Wow! That's growth!" expressed the digital content creator.
However, Murugi clarified that it didn't mean she was completely fine. She admitted to feeling sad but not as heartbroken and devastated as she was the first time Zach left.
"I mean, I'm sad but not as sad as the first time. That's definitely progress," added the mother of three, accompanied by a heart emoji.
As for how their children were handling the situation, Murugi acknowledged that it was difficult but also peaceful.
"We said goodbye to daddy last night... not goodbye, but see you later! It was a beautiful, peaceful yet challenging evening," Murugi captioned a photo of her and Zach happily sitting on the couch with their children, smiling warmly at the camera.
