Azimio leader Raila Odinga, alongside co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka, former Murang'a governor Mwangi wa Iria, and other opposition lawmakers, visited Mama Lucy Hospital in Nairobi's Eastlands area to console victims of alleged police brutality during last week's demonstrations.

The leaders first assembled at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Foundation for a brief meeting before proceeding to Mama Lucy Hospital on Wednesday. Later in the day, they are expected to visit Mbagathi Hospital and Kenyatta National Hospital.

During their visit, the leaders will address the nation and launch a candles and flowers vigil, showing solidarity and respect for the victims. They will also observe a moment of silence to honor those who lost their lives during the protests.

Additionally, the leaders will launch the Victims Fund, aiming to provide support and assistance to those affected by the unrest.

The visit to Mama Lucy Hospital and the subsequent events are part of the opposition's efforts to pay tribute to the victims of alleged police brutality and bring attention to the human toll of the ongoing demonstrations.
