Michael Warutere, the standout student of Riara Springs Academy within the esteemed Riara Group of Schools, clinched the title of the top candidate in the 2023 KCPE exams.
In a media interaction, Warutere expressed his aspiration to pursue a career as a Software Engineer after completing high school, driven by his desire to address pressing challenges in the country. Specifically, he highlighted his passion for assisting Kenyan farmers in leveraging technology to enhance agricultural productivity.
"I'm truly grateful to God for the marks bestowed upon me. I extend my heartfelt thanks to our parents and teachers for guiding us and aiding in our success," Warutere stated, adding that he aspires to enroll in Mang'u High School with hopes that his remarkable marks will secure him a seat.
John Muriithi, Head of Riara Springs Primary School, spoke highly of Warutere, praising his well-rounded nature that extends beyond academics to active participation in football and drama activities since his early years at the school.
Amid a jubilant atmosphere at the school following the KCPE results, Muriithi commended all stakeholders for their collective efforts in achieving exemplary results for not only Warutere but the entire class. He encouraged students nationwide, emphasizing that success in the education sector is measured by reaching one's full potential.

Juju Gachukia, Director of Riara Group of Schools, credited the passion and perseverance of teachers and the collaborative effort with students for the remarkable exam results. Gachukia noted that Warutere's journey began at the age of three in the kindergarten, a testament to the founders' vision—Mr. Daniel and Dr. Eddah Gachukia—known for their commitment to quality education and creating conducive learning environments.
