Francis Atwoli has for the first time addressed why he married KTN's Mary Kilobi who is several years younger than him.
Their union is one of the most talked about given their big age difference.
Atwoli is 73 years old while Mary Kilobi is aged 38.
Speaking during a public forum, Atwoli says Mary keeps his life in order.
In a TikTok video trending online, he said
'I am no longer young even though my wife Mary Kilobi looks young.
Mary's work is ensuring I have worn my socks well,my shirts are good, and that I have taken my medicine.
She keeps that diary."
Atwoli says he doesn't trust anyone else to do that for him.
"If we are to employ a personal assistant I am sure she would steal from us.
When I am going abroad she ensures my tickets are in order."
In the past Mary was rumoured to be dating ex- CS Echesa something she strongly denied.
Echesa allegedly claimed he 'dated' her before she met her husband Francis Atwoli.
During a rally at Amalemba Stadium, in Kakamega county, while addressing residents of the area, Echesa said;
"Mary ananijua zaidi kushinda Atwoli (Mary knows me better than Atwoli)," he said.
Responding Mary told off the politician insisting that she has only met the politician when he visited her home in Kajiado.
She wrote on her Instagram;
"I've said this and I will say it again. I am a journalist and not a politician, not even once have I seemed to have taken sides while discharging my duty. It is not right and will never be that politicians find it pleasant to keep mentioning my name in rallies."
Kilobi added that Echesa should campaign hard ahead of the August 9 election instead of wasting time attacking her.
"Attacking Kilobi for trying to get back at my husband is cowardly! Just for clarity as a journalist, I have interacted with many news sources but not even once have I with one Rashid Echesa, only have I seen him in our Kajiado home. I've never even had his phone number! Therefore I consider what he said yesterday for the sake of settling political scores very disrespectful! and unacceptable!"
She added;
"I am a Christian you are a Muslim we believe in the same God, I have a word for you, let your Christian friends read for you Psalms 35:1-28, you may believe or not but that's my prayer for you!
You may not even have respect for people who have helped you in lifelike SG Atwoli not even for the President of Kenya but there's a Supreme Power above you that will make you know that he owns the Universe. Agosti 9 yaja, Wadau uzeni Sera."
