Nairobi, Kenya — Celebrity couple Bahati and Diana Marua have confirmed that their long-awaited wedding will take place this October — and it will stretch over an astonishing ten days.
The pair, who have become household names through their music, social media presence and reality content, say the wedding will feature multiple ceremonies and high-profile guests from across Africa.
“It is not a ceremony — there are ceremonies, and they will last for 10 days,” Bahati said during Thursday’s announcement, adding playfully: “I told Juma Jux I took notes, but I want to teach him something.”
He teased guests to prepare accordingly. “You’ll need around 20 outfits,” he joked, hinting at the scale of the celebrations.
October Affair
The couple chose October to coincide with their anniversary. The decision follows Bahati’s grand second proposal earlier this year, which was marked with music, candles, flowers and luxury gifts.
Among those expected to attend is Tanzanian star Diamond Platnumz. “I want him to learn a few things because I am marrying before him,” Bahati quipped.
Diana’s Excitement
Diana Marua admitted that planning such a huge wedding has been both daunting and thrilling.
“For me, it is unreal — I pinch myself every day,” she said. “The thought of planning this is overwhelming and exciting. I wouldn’t want to burst the bubble by saying what we have in store. However, it will be a never-before-seen wedding.”
A Journey in the Public Eye
Bahati and Diana’s relationship has played out in the spotlight since 2017, when they went public despite criticism over their age difference. Over the years, they’ve built one of Kenya’s strongest celebrity brands, turning their family life into content that resonates with millions.
Their YouTube channel and social media platforms have given fans a front-row seat to their journey — from parenting and music to intimate family milestones.
The couple previously held a lavish traditional ceremony and have since blended their family, raising their children alongside Bahati’s adopted daughter, Mueni.
As October approaches, their fans are bracing for what could be Kenya’s most talked-about celebrity wedding, a 10-day spectacle that promises glitz, music and unforgettable moments.
