Renowned singer turned church minister, Size 8 Reborn, has opened up about the misconceptions surrounding her transition from secular music to gospel ministry. Contrary to popular belief, Size 8 Reborn revealed that her decision to embrace gospel music and ministry led to substantial financial losses rather than gains.

Reflecting on her journey, Size 8 Reborn recounted the significant financial setbacks she encountered when she made the bold choice to leave behind her secular music career. The artist, who rebranded as Size 8 Reborn a decade ago, shared that her decision to shift her focus from secular to gospel music came at a considerable cost.

"It’s such a pity that people think I got saved to make money. In fact, what happened is that I lost a lot of money. I no longer had gigs to perform because I had no songs to sing. When I got saved, I stopped performing my secular songs altogether so I couldn’t get booked," Size 8 Reborn revealed.

In addition to losing performance opportunities, Size 8 Reborn also faced the consequences of severed endorsement deals. She candidly shared that certain endorsement partnerships, including those with alcohol brands and intimate products, were no longer compatible with her newfound faith and career direction.

Despite the initial challenges and financial losses, Size 8 Reborn expressed that her decision to embrace gospel ministry was ultimately rewarding. She acknowledged that while her gospel music career may not have achieved the same commercial success as her secular endeavors, the fulfillment and spiritual impact of her ministry have been immeasurable.

Size 8 Reborn's journey into preaching has come with its own set of challenges. Adapting to her new role as a gospel minister required her to leave behind certain aspects of her previous secular lifestyle and focus on spiritual growth and nourishment.

"The challenges are many because you have to forsake a lot of earthly things and focus on spiritual nourishment. I had to stop engaging in hypes and such like things I used to do as an artist," Size 8 Reborn shared.

Furthermore, she acknowledged that spreading the gospel comes with its own costs, both in terms of personal sacrifices and financial investments. Size 8 Reborn emphasized that although the gospel itself is free, the process of delivering it to people involves significant resources.

Looking ahead, Size 8 Reborn remains dedicated to her dual roles as a singer and a preacher. While her music career may now take a backseat to her ministry, she remains committed to using her platform to inspire and uplift others through her music and preaching.

Earlier this year, Size 8 Reborn, who is married to gospel DJ Mo, launched her own church, Christ Revealed Ministries, reflecting her deep commitment to her faith and her desire to spread the message of the gospel.
