The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has issued a final reminder to 2024 KCSE candidates, urging them to complete the ongoing course revision before the portal officially closes tonight, May 27, 2025, at midnight.

In a public notice shared on Tuesday, KUCCPS emphasized the importance of the deadline, calling on students to take advantage of the remaining hours.

Deadline Alert! KUCCPS application system closes tonight, May 27, 2025, for the first Revision of Choices to universities. Log in and apply,” the statement read.

This marks the end of the 10-day course revision period that opened on Saturday, May 17, specifically targeting 2024 KCSE candidates who either missed the earlier application window or wish to change their selected courses.

Students who did not secure a course during the initial application phase, which closed on April 30, were encouraged to revisit the KUCCPS portal to adjust their university or college selections.

KUCCPS further clarified that this revision period also applied to form four leavers who did not participate in the first round of applications, giving them another opportunity to apply for placement in available programmes for the 2025/2026 academic cycle.

How to Revise KUCCPS Courses

To revise or apply for programmes, candidates should:

  1. Visit the official KUCCPS portal at www.kuccps.ac.ke

  2. Log in using:

    • KCSE index number

    • KCSE year

    • Password (either KCPE index number or birth certificate number)

  3. Browse available programmes and revise previous choices or submit new ones.

The portal’s closure will mark the final step in the current application cycle, after which KUCCPS will proceed to the placement and admission process.

This final call comes just weeks after the initial application deadline, and KUCCPS has reiterated the importance of adhering to the timelines to avoid being locked out of the higher education placement.
