Kenyan rapper Stephen Otieno Adera, popularly known as Stivo Simple Boy, recently spoke out about being compared to Tanzania's music sensation, Diamond Platnumz. During an interview with YouTuber 2mbili, the 'Mihadarati' crooner disclosed that many Kenyans have dubbed him as the "Diamond of Kenya" due to his ability to release hit after hit within a short period.

"Najua Wakenya na watu wengine walikuwa wanasema eti mimi ni Diamond wa Kenya. Kwa hiyo mimi nilikuwa nasema hizo zikitulia naachilia ngoma, unaona," he expressed.

Proudly boasting about his musical prowess, Stivo Simple Boy expressed his concern about the quality of songs produced by Kenyan musicians, stating that many lack meaningful content. He encouraged his fellow artists to work diligently and create music that aligns with societal virtues and values, wielding their influence responsibly.

He urged, "Wasanii wa Kenya watie bidii waache kuimba ngoma ambazo hazileti shangwe, waimbe ngoma ambazo zinamake sense. Wasanii sisi tunajituma zaidi, ukiangalia mimi kwa staili yangu na wasanii wengine tuko tofauti. Mimi sana sana napenda kuhimiza jamii ambayo ni kuwapatia ujumbe, siimbi ngoma za kupotosha watu."

Stivo Simple Boy emphasized the importance of creating music that appeals to diverse audiences, including older generations and families. He stressed that not everyone desires songs for "hepi moments" or body stimulation; therefore, musicians should aim to produce content that can be appreciated and enjoyed by people of all ages.

The talented rapper also addressed the issue of his social media accounts being withheld by his former management. He expressed his desire to regain control of his pages and requested the management to grant him access while still claiming revenue from the songs on his channel.

Stivo revealed his intention to manage himself fully to avoid such issues in the future, reflecting on experiences with managers who initially seem supportive but later become problematic. He acknowledged that he might need a manager in the future, but for now, he is focused on handling his career independently.

As Stivo Simple Boy continues to make waves in the Kenyan music scene, his dedication to producing meaningful and family-friendly music has earned him a unique spot among fans and music enthusiasts alike.
