Kenyan actress Bridget Shighadi has officially confirmed her split from actor Nick Mutuma, her baby daddy, during a Q&A session with her fans on Instagram. Speculations about their breakup had been circulating for some time, and Bridget's confirmation put the rumors to rest.

When a curious fan asked, "Are you single?" Bridget replied with a simple "Yes." Another fan inquired about the duration of their breakup, asking, "For how long?" Bridget responded, "For a minute bro," indicating that she and Nick Mutuma had parted ways some time ago.

The couple had not been seen together for a while, and they even celebrated their daughter's birthday separately. Last year, during Bridget's 31st birthday, Nick was notably absent, and he did not publicly send her birthday wishes as he had done the previous year when she turned 30.

In a previous interview, Bridget shared that she had known Nick since high school and that their relationship had been on and off initially. However, after the birth of their daughter Dua, they had been together for three years. They had also been living together.

Bridget clarified that they were not in a hurry to make their relationship official through marriage, as they were currently focused on their careers and raising their daughter. She emphasized the importance of building a strong foundation before considering marriage.

Furthermore, Bridget credited Tosh Gitonga for ushering her into the film industry by offering her a role in the movie Disconnect.

With Bridget Shighadi's confirmation, it is clear that she and Nick Mutuma have chosen separate paths, focusing on their individual lives and careers while co-parenting their daughter.
